PROCEDURES

1.                  Certifying teams must coordinate with the Senior Evaluator to ensure two (2) helpers are available for the track/trail.

2.                  Track/Trail will be a minimum of ¾ mile and no longer than 1.5 miles long aged for a minimum of thirty (30) minutes.

3.                  Track/Trail will contain one (1) cross track laid fifteen (15) minutes before the track/trail begins.

4.                  Track/Trail will be laid by a helper at evaluators discretion.

 

REQUIREMENTS

1.        Handler must deploy K-9 in a safe and effective manner.

2.          It must be obvious to the evaluators that the K-9 is tracking/trailing.

3.          K-9 must locate helper.

4.             Handler must recognize alert and advise location of find.

5.            A false alert, unable to control K-9, or no find will result in a failed test.
